1. Hawke’s Bay

Hawke’s Bay is also known as a nesting ground for Green Sea Turtles and Olive Ridley Sea Turtles, during the winter.
2. Turtle Beach
Turtle Beach is located between Hawke’s Bay and Sandspit and gets its name from the sea turtles that use the beach every year to swim from far and wide to come and lay their eggs during the winter months. Naturally a sandy beach, with calm waters for most of the year, it is a great place for afternoon swims and lazy days to revive and rejuvenate.
3. Sandspit Beach
Sandspit is known for its breathtaking views and marine species. If you are visiting Karachi during the winter months, Sandspit is the best place to catch a glimpse of various turtle species that nest there. The World Wildlife Fund has set up a Wetland Center at the Sandspit Beach to enhance awareness regarding the turtles and other marine species, indigenous to the area. You can rent a beach house for the day, for an overnight stay or just take your picnic and blankets along for a sunny day at the beach.
4. Cape Monze
For those that like to take the path less traveled Cape Monze offers adventures of the sun and sand variety, but with less people to share it with. Cape Monze is a magnificent beach situated near the Hub River, approximately an hour’s drive from Karachi. It is part of a habitat for endangered marine species including whales, dolphins and turtles. At Cape Monze, you’ll find an old lighthouse (Lightship Sindhi now referred to as Ras Muari Lighthouse) constructed by the British in 1916 to assist in nautical navigation.
5. Tushan Beach
Another enchanting option for those seeking solitude is Tushan Beach, located approximately an hour’s drive from Karachi. The beach is one of the less visited of the lots and offers a great chance to discover the alluring beauty of the coastal areas of Karachi.
